Punda Maria Camp, Kruger National Park,
South Africa
The plans changed, a little.
Originally, we were going to stay today in Zimbabwe and then cross
the border into South Africa tomorrow. We did it today, instead.
We are splitting up for a few days,
Josh is going to Johannesburg to drop off his camper and get a normal
car while I am in Kruger National Park. Originally, he was only
going to have one day to do the car swap and get some groceries and
other stuff before coming to Kruger. Now he has 2.
South Africa and Kruger park are much
more like the US than Zimbabwe was. Things are kept up and just seem
more organized. Stores are better stocked and the quality is better.
And no more police roadblocks every 10 or 20 miles.
I'm at a small campground in the north
end of the park. It has showers with hot water, a small restaurant
and store and power outlets for campers.
I'm here for 3 nights and then I'll
move south.
